This event is an excellent induction and networking opportunity for new GPs, Nurses, Clinical Staff, Senior Admin, Practice Managers, and other team members who are either new – or relatively new – to general practice.

The programme will strengthen understanding of the key principles underpinning general practice, including:

  • NHS reforms and strategic direction
  • NHS and GP contracts (Essential/Additional Services)
  • Primary Care Network Direct Enhanced Service (DES)
  • Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF)
  • Contractual amendments and practice monitoring requirements
  • Finance, budgets, and payment streams
  • CQRS (Calculating Quality Reporting Service) and GPES (General Practice Extraction Service)

You’ll also have an opportunity to hear from guest speakers from NHS Devon ICB and Devon Training Hub, who will explain how their organisations support and interact with general practice. In addition, our CQC Compliance Manager, Steve Pitcher, will share insights into CQC processes and compliance.

We’ve recently introduced a new process for registering interest in our Core Support Services, including training opportunities. If you’d like to attend this session, please complete our Service Enquiry Form.

Important information:
