A significant proportion of Devon's 364 schools are rated Good or Outstanding by OfSTED and educational performance overall remains above national averages. The schools vary significantly in size, from primary schools with fewer than 20 pupils to one of the largest secondary schools in the country. Both of Devon's universities have impressive reputations and there are numerous colleges supporting a broad range of vocational and professional courses. Education and development opportunities are numerous and of a high standard.
