Overview
The LMC uses a risk stratification framework to assess both items progressing through the Negotiations Committee Action Point Register (APR) and to Locally Enhanced Services (LES) or other contracts once they have been processed through negotiations.
Risk Matrix
There are four levels of risk represented by Green (Safe), Amber (Caution), Red (Warning) and Black (Unsafe/Avoid). Business and clinical risk as well as Patient Safety level are all taken into consideration in order to appropriately place negotiations items against the right level. Safety will always take precedence and drive the final assessment where it becomes the highest contributing factor. The final assessments are attributed by a combination of clinical and business expertise from within the LMC’s Negotiations Team. Click on the rows below to see LMC advice for each assessment.
