Communications & Website Administrator

Devon Training Hub are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, positive and highly motivated Communications and Website Administrator to join their committed team on a permanent contract, working 30 hours per week. The salary for the role is £9.70 per hour. The working pattern can be flexible to suit the successful applicant, as long as it meets the requirements of the team.
The post holder will provide a comprehensive administrative service to the Training Hub team, customers and suppliers with a particular focus on the administration of the Devon Training Hub website, as per the published Job Description also attached to this advert.

The workload will be varied and will require you to demonstrate excellent communication skills when liaising with multi-disciplinary staff, other team members and our suppliers. Applicants will be well organised and be able to work methodically and accurately. An ability to use your own judgement, resourcefulness, common sense & local knowledge to respond to enquiries is essential.

The role will be office based out of our office on Plymouth Science Park in Plymouth or working flexibly from home as the situation requires.

Mayfield Medical Centre are looking to recruit 2 new full time (37.5 hours) telephonists.


We are looking for friendly and experienced staff members to join our busy team. The work is predominantly telephone based up to 30 hours per week with occasional face to face cover on the reception desk.  There is minimal admin associated with this role.


As a member of frontline staff you will be the first point of contact for our service users and visitors. You will need to be non-judgemental with excellent communication and listening skills. We are a busy practice so you must be able to deal objectively and professionally in a calm and approachable manner when liaising with patients, staff, healthcare professionals and outside agencies.


Experience of working in General Practice, NHS setting or call centre is desirable but not essential.


Competitive salary £9.50 per hour and a minimum of 5 weeks holiday per year. This role is Monday – Friday with hours set between 8am – 6pm, usually made up of 3 long days and 2 shorter days although this is subject to the needs of the team and business at the time. On occasion the job may also involve some evening and Saturday work.


We are a well-established urban practice of 22,500 patients, currently split across two sites in the heart of Paignton, with a third branch site in Brixham to be announced in due course. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Prescriber to join our team as our Lead Social Prescriber. 

Who would this role be suitable for?  We are looking for someone who is passionate about empowering people to take control of their health and wellbeing through referral of non-medical pathways giving time, focus on what matters to me and take a holistic approach in patient care. The successful candidate would be joining a growing team of Social Prescribers and Health and Wellbeing Coach in achieving support and practical care for our patients.

The post holder will take a lead role in Beacon Medical Group Primary Care Network, to deliver the social prescribing service as set out in the GP long term plan.  Providing line management and leadership to PCN social prescribers, whilst acting in the liaison role building effective partnerships with a wide range of organisations and community groups.   In addition to leading the service the post holder will manager a caseload of patients.


Main duties of the role include:

  • To provide leadership and mentorship to the PCN social prescribing team

  • To act as point of contact for stakeholders in providing service updates and organising service delivery

  • To act as lead in service delivery

  • Support HR duties in respect of sickness recording, annual leave, and the appraisal process, applying HR policies appropriately.
