Would you like to be involved in medical student teaching? If that, is you, we are looking for experienced health care professionals and allied health care professionals to provide our medical students with teaching and understanding about your area of clinical work and interest. This would involve providing teaching under the framework of a Special Study Unit (SSU) which is the student self-selected part of the curriculum. These SSUs are delivered in year 1-4 and involve offering on average 9-18 hours of teaching/ observation over a three-week period to a group of 2-6 students. There is appropriate renumeration for this work.

We are looking for an experienced phlebotomist/ Health Care Assistant to work at Pembroke Medical Group over both our Pembroke House and Parkhill road sites.

The job is 25 hours a week and ideally we would like an experienced phlebotomist / Health Care Assistant. Shifts will be 8.00-13.00 Mon-Friday but we can be flexible to accommodate a later start time.

In 2019 NHS England launched the Community Mental Health Framework document, which clearly outlines the need for more accessible and flexible mental health services across England and Wales. Consequently, Community Mental Health Services across the UK are undergoing widespread, innovative transformation and investment. Over the next few years primary and secondary mental health services will aim to develop more holistic, recovery oriented, biopsychosocial approach to supporting people with Mental illnesses. The post holder will be expected to provide effective leadership and overall management for a newly established mental health team. The team will provide clinical expertise in mental health across five GP practices. The post holder will play a leading role within the transformation process and in setting key performance indicators to ensure this service meets its objectives and improved training for professionals within the PCN. The South Hams PCN aims to establish a mental health team within primary care, which will reach the whole mental health population within the geographical area it covers. The focus will be upon prevention, timely referrals to specialist services where indicated, rapid crisis response and sustained recovery. The South Hams Primary Care Network will aim to work in collaboration with the NHS secondary care providers, voluntary sector, peer support and community organisations in order to achieve this. These relationships will be central to establishing an effective community mental health model.

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Dietician to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team within our Primary Care Network. Our Network comprises two practices, St Thomas Medical Group and Foxhayes Practice. You would be working across all sites in the network including the Student Health Centre on Exeter University Campus. This position is well suited to an individual who is aspiring to develop a career in primary care and is enthusiastic about providing high quality dietetic care for a variety of conditions.


We are looking for a dietician with a special interest in Eating Disorders to support our population of university students, and to link in with the Eating Disorders service at the local acute Trust. Alongside this work, you would be expected to contribute to the ongoing management and support of our older patients with bowel conditions and diabetes.

You should be an enthusiastic, and motivated member of our multi-disciplinary allied health professional team to help us achieve this vision. An understanding of person-centred care and good problem solving skills are highly desirable.

 

The role will be based at the practices of Exeter West PCN – that of Foxhayes Practice, and at St Thomas Medical Group, covering the St Thomas Health Centre and the Student Health Centre on the University campus. Provide phone and video consultations where necessary.

Tavyside Health Centre are seeking a highly motivated, patient centered, registered Practice Nurse Band 6 or above to join our experienced nursing team for 15 hours PW.

Tavyside is a rural practice situated in the small market town of Tavistock on the edge of Dartmoor, with a branch surgery at Lifton, with a Practice list size of 12,700 patients and rising. We are seeking a highly motivated, patient centered, registered Practice Nurse Band 6 or above to join our experienced nursing team for 15 hours PW.       We currently have 7 GP partners, and four salaried GPs, a team of 6 Practice nurses and Health Care assistants.  We are supported by a highly skilled and committed Management, and Administration Team and pride ourselves on our very ‘open door’, team orientated ethos. We have purpose-built buildings in both Tavistock and Lifton. The appointed candidate will be expected to work from either site.  Our clinical system is EmisWeb.
