Channel View Medical Group has an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and forward thinking practice.  We are looking to recruit two additional GP’s in 2021 and are open to interest from both those wishing for a salaried position & GP’s who seek to become Partners.

We provide excellent patient centred medical services to our 18,000 patients over four sites in the beautiful coastal town of Teignmouth and on the edge of Dartmoor.  The practice is set to relocate into a newly built leased building in early 2023, which will provide a state-of-the-art clinical environment.  Our Group has 13 GP’s and a total of 65 staff across clinical and administrative teams.  We have a close working relationship with neighbouring practices & share clinical leadership of The Coastal PCN.

Good communication is vital within our highly integrated wide-ranging MDT in maintaining successful delivery of excellent care.  Staff well- being is a priority and we pride ourselves on creating a supportive and nurturing environment, with emphasis on continuous personal development. We would happily support anyone wanting to develop a clinical or education based special interest.

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic GP’s who are keen to develop responsive and effective services for our patients.  The ideal candidates are compassionate, resilient, calm under pressure with excellent communication skills and a teamwork mentality.  We also value a good sense of humour!

We are a high achiever in terms of QOF and patient satisfaction targets and strive to develop new services.  We are a training practice hosting GP trainees, F2’s & Student Nurses.  In addition, we partner with the University of Exeter Medical School to provide a great learning experience for Medical Students.

Chelston Hall Surgery in Torquay is looking to recruit a new salaried GP, with the option to discuss partnership in the future. We are a large, forward-thinking GMS training practice operating over two sites, involved in the training of GPs, medical students, nurses, paramedics and overseas doctors. We are proud of our dedicated multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. We are affiliated with Plymouth University, and one Partner is an Associate Dean responsible for GP trainees in Torbay.

We are looking for a GP who would like to work 4-8 sessions per week, and salary ranges from £9,000 to £10,500 per session depending on experience and responsibility. Flexible working hours can be negotiated according to our tiered system, and we would welcome portfolio GPs. We offer all salaried GPs a mentor for at least six months with no list, protected administration time and the flexibility to review these arrangements when appropriate. A typical session consists of 17 appointments, which can be a mixture of face to face and telephone appointments. Home visits are mostly done by our Paramedic and Advanced Nurse Practitioners. We can offer support with applying for the post-CCT fellowship scheme, and all Partners are keen to invest time in meeting prospective candidates to ensure a good fit.

Indemnity is provided by the practice via a group scheme with the MDU. The practice offers a standard BMA model contract which includes six weeks annual leave plus one week of study leave and an NHS pension. If you are looking to relocate, then in addition to being on the coast with amazing coastal walks and Dartmoor nearby, we also have excellent primary and secondary education with three grammar schools in the bay.
