Our Continued Professional Development is supported by regular Clinical Meetings and we also have a monthly senior clinicians “Action and Decision Group” to develop clinical pathways and processes. We really value our daily coffee breaks to develop our team relationships and support each other in our work.

Website

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 4 to 6 session salaried or GP Partner to join our well established, hardworking, and dedicated team.

Perfectly located on the outskirts of one of Europe’s most vibrant waterfront cities, Dean Cross Surgery is situated in Plymstock, a suburb of Plymouth.

General Practice in Devon is of a high standard, making it a great place to work. Our vision is to deliver high quality healthcare to our patients, by a highly skilled, motivated, and constantly improving team, supported in a nurturing work environment.

Dean Cross Surgery is a four partner PMS teaching practice caring for 10,200 patients with a varied demographic. Our Doctors are supported by an experienced Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, Extended Scope Physiotherapist, First Contact Physiotherapist, an active Social Prescriber and Bereavement Advisor, in addition to four ANPs. Due to the combined efforts of our excellent clinical and admin teams we achieve high QOF targets, excellent patient feedback scores, and were rated ‘Good’ by CQC in our last inspection.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic GP who has the commitment and passion to drive efficiencies and quality of care for our patients. We work in alliance with other practices in the area and play an active part in the successful Mewstone Primary Care Network (PCN); several ideas to build effective transformation processes and best practices are currently being explored to fully exploit and maximise the opportunities provided by the GP contract and NHS Long Term Plan.

The wellbeing of our staff is of the utmost importance; the workflows and systems that we have in place have been specifically designed to ensure pressure and demand are effectively managed and equally shared across all staff groups. A perfect example would be our early morning ANP visiting service, minimising the load on daily home visits.

We would happily welcome and support newly qualified GPs, or those wishing to develop a special interest.

If you are interested and keen to learn more, please do get in touch – we would love to hear from you. If you would like to get a feel for the practice prior to applying, we would happily organise some Locum sessions to accommodate this.

If you have any questions, or to organise an informal visit please email: jemma.waugh1@nhs.net.
